She has trained extensively in bariatrics and practiced in the field for more than 10 years. Rather than prescribe GLP-1s utilizing a standardized protocol, McKenzie creates individualized treatment plans addressing her patient’s specific needs and weight loss goals. Additionally, she was one of the first providers in the area to offer compounded GLP-1s.

Prescription Medication for Weight Loss - Compounded GLP-1s
Semaglutide (GLP-1) and Tirzepatide (GIP/GLP-1) are prescription medications utilized for weight management in overweight and obese adults
These medications are administered once weekly as a subcutaneous injection in the abdomen, upper arm or thigh
Potential side effects are greatly reduced by prescribing an initial low dose and titrating to an optimal dose for maximum weight loss
Best results are achieved in combination with a healthy diet and exercise regimen
